Why yes, I do have best friends. And yes, I do think they can end. Nothing lasts forever though you hold some faith in hoping that it will. People change though. If something happens; something big, something small, it can do a lot to a person and change him or her. Then you’ll find that you and your best friend are no longer the same people or are no longer the same people together. Sometimes that can be good, sometimes that can be bad. On the off chance that it’s bad, that you find that you’re already destroying each other or hating who you can be with each other, then accept it. Take your time, your memories, your happiness with that person, keep it, be thankful for it, and then move on.
And yes, I do believe if your best friend can lie to you about the tiniest things they can lie to you about the biggest things.
You have to remember though, that anyone can lie to you. Your parents can lie to you, your siblings can lie to you, your best friends can lie to you, your lovers can lie to you. You might even find that you just might be the biggest liar to yourself. But it’s a matter of trust.
It’s always been my principle to believe whatever the people I love say. No matter what. I may doubt them but complete faith has never been easy. Not at all. In fact it is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to deal with. But If my best friend tells me one thing, then I’ll believe it. I also ask her not to lie to me cause I’ll believe anything she tells me and I will take her word over any one else’s every time.
But if I find out that she’s been lying, then I’ll talk to her about it. Ask her why she felt the need to do so. If a person’s not being honest with you, unless the person’s a chronic liar, there should be a reason behind the lie. It’s human nature to lie. It’s not the most despicable thing to do; being dishonest. But lying for no reason just makes no sense. You can lie out of fear, desperation, care, pride, love, sadness. Anything. Lying (especially the unreasonable kind) is grounds for a complete reflection on your relationship with a person but that does not mean it is grounds for complete dismissal of your relationship with the person who lied.
